# Network License: Server Installation Error

## Problem

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected" error visible:

When installing a license server, this is a common issue running NetworkLicenseServer-4.0.202**X.X**

## Solution

Make sure that .NET framework 3.5 is enabled on the workstation:\
Go to 'Turn Windows features on or off' > Tick 'Framework 3.5' > OK

This window will appear. Select 'Let Windows Update download the files for you':

If you are using Windows Server, use 'Add Roles'' and Features Wizard to enable .NET Framework 3.5:

After enabling this feature, try to install the License server once again.
