# Sharing Configurations

## Share configuration files&#x20;

Users can share the configuration files with colleagues or with the ARKANCE support team when submitting a [support ticket](https://agacad.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new).

To share the configuration files that you are using in your current project, go to **Settings** > **Configuration Files' Location**:

In the dialogue, **copy the file path** that is already selected:

<figure><img src="/files/PPUIlz0RRUUb9OUsnY3Q" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Paste the file path** inside the Windows Explorer:

<figure><img src="/files/m0flOgcudoDaZkkeFTyr" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Then **copy all the folders** inside the file path:

<figure><img src="/files/B6RwfwGwB4Oi4zAPD7a3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Paste the folders** inside a new folder, located in a convenient location on your computer:

<figure><img src="/files/CCH6OHW4E1TyyrIKtBS4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/d9fnEWOwnTr1ExphXqPX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/gJsw2xTH0fVmsyN5E1dN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/764hH0xF4myg2SKH92oX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you are sharing the files via email, we recommend compressing the folder using RAR or ZIP format:

Users can also share the files on a cloud platform where other users can easily access, download files and then copy the downloaded configuration folder file path to the Configuration Files' Location.

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** It's currently not possible to map the configuration files from the cloud.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**WARNING**: If multiple users map the same file path from a shared **company server**, please keep in mind that if one user modifies the configurations, it may lead to wrong results in other users' framing projects.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**RECOMMENDATION**: We recommend keeping the company's standard configuration folders on a **server** without using the file path. Users can still copy all the configuration folders and paste them inside the new projects folder on **local computers** and map the configurations from there.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

## Map the received configuration files

After downloading the shared configuration files, choose a convenient and safe file location on your computer where configuration files will be stored.

Then **open** the configurations folder and copy its file path:

After copying the file path, go to **Settings** and choose **Configuration Files' Location**:

**Choose an empty slot** in the dialogue (if you need to add more slots, click the "plus" symbol at the bottom) and hit **Save & Close**:
