Main Features
Add/Modify Bracing
Add/Modify Bracing – features for adding/modifying braces between studs or plates, corner braces and brace groups.
Add Brace between Studs/Plates (external/internal side)
Add Brace between Studs/Plates (external/internal side) – adds a brace between two selected studs/plates on external or internal side of framing. To modify brace settings go to Wall+ → Add/Modify Elements → Add/Modify Bracing → Modify Brace.
Default families for bracing are I_WF Plate.rvt (in Imperial projects) and M_WF Plate.rvt (in Metric projects).
Example: Select a bottom plate and a top plate to show where bracing should end. Points selected should be as close as possible to where you want the bracing ends to actually be. (I.e. If you generically select a bottom plate and top plate, bracing might not be placed where you actually want it, so select the points precisely where you want the bracing to be placed.)
Add Corner Brace (external/internal side)
Add Corner Brace (external/internal side) – adds a corner brace between a selected plate and stud on external or internal side of framing. To modify brace settings go to Wall+ → Add/Modify Elements → Add/Modify Bracing → Modify Brace.
Example: Select a bottom plate and then a stud to show where corner bracing ends should be. Points selected should be as close as possible to where you want the bracing ends to actually be. (I.e. If you generically select the bottom plate and stud, bracing might not be placed where you actually want it, so select the points precisely where you want the bracing to be placed.)
Add Corner Brace
Add Corner Brace – adds a corner brace between a plate and a stud. To modify brace settings go to Wall+ → Add/Modify Elements → Add/Modify Bracing → Modify Brace.
Example: Select a plate and then a stud to show where corner bracing ends should be. Points selected should be as close as possible to where you want the bracing ends to actually be. (I.e. If you generically select a plate and stud, bracing might not be placed where you actually want it, so select the points precisely where you want the bracing to be placed.)
Add Corner Brace to Adjacent Frame
Add Corner Brace to Adjacent Frame – adds a corner brace between a support element and a stud or a plate from the frame. To modify brace settings go to Wall+ → Add Elements/Modify → Add/Modify Bracing → Modify Brace.
Example: Select a supporting element and then a stud to show corner bracing ends.
Automatically Add Top Corner Braces
Automatically Add Top Corner Braces – adds corner braces automatically, which connect to selected element and the intersecting elements from the list. To modify brace settings go to Wall+ → Add/Modify Elements → Add/Modify Bracing → Modify Brace.
The list of intersecting elements where braces could be connected:
Example: Braces are added automatically according to selected top plate and connected end studs and king studs.
Modify Brace
Modify Brace – modifies selected brace in the frame.

Delete Brace
Delete Brace – deletes selected brace(s) from the frame.

Add Brace Group
Add Brace Group – places short braces automatically between two studs with predefined rules.
Example: Braces are added automatically between two selected studs.
Add Partial Brace Group
Add Partial Brace Group – places short braces automatically in the area between two selected studs and horizontal elements with predefined rules.
Example: Braces are added automatically between two selected studs and horizontal plates:
Modify Brace Group
