# Standalone License Migration to a New Workstation

In order to move a standalone license to a new workstation smoothly, please follow these steps:

1. [Deactivate the current license](/getting-started/quick-start/standalone-license/standalone-license-deactivation.md) 
2. [Activate your license](/getting-started/quick-start/standalone-license/standalone-license-activation.md) on the new device

The content from the user catalog can be copied to a new/additional users' workstations if needed

By default, all configurations are saved at: *C:\Users\\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Tools 4 Revit*
