# How to extend sill/header to the nearest vertical studs of a beam pocket?

1. Navigate to **Edit Elements**

2. Select **Trim/Extend Multiple Elements**&#x20;
3. Select the **reference element first**
4. Select the **elements you want to extend or trim**:

**Tip**: first, extend the sill/header up to the nearest vertical studs. Then trim the cripple studs up to the sill/header.
