Multi Rebar Annotation

The Multi Rebar Annotation feature appears in the Smart Tags section when the checkbox Multi Rebar Annotation is selected. If the checkbox is unchecked, individual tag creation mode will be enabled in

Annotation Type - Select the desired annotation type from the available project options.

Delete Duplicates - When enabled, this option automatically removes duplicate annotation tags that are positioned close to each other. Example: When tagging wall rebars that include both internal and external layers, only the front rebar set is visible in the front view. This feature ensures that only the visible (front) annotation tag is retained, while the others are removed.

Create Leader - Adds a leader line between the dimension line and the tag. Users can select the leader type: Attached or Free.

Preferred Annotation Position

This section defines the positioning of annotation tags (dimension lines) relative to the element or host object.

Left/Right - Places the annotation tag on the left or right side of the element (e.g., wall, beam, column) or rebar.

Center - Positions the annotation tag in the center of the rebar.

By Element - Automatically positions the annotation tag based on the rebar’s location within the host. The host is conceptually divided into left and right, top an bottom halves, with the center as the reference point.

o If the rebar center is closer to the right side, the annotation is placed on the right.

o If the rebar center is closer to the left, the annotation is placed on the left.

Horizontal Multiplier - A parameter that allows horizontal adjustment of the annotation tag by a specified scaling factor (starting from 0).

Avoid Annotation Overlap - When enabled, this feature prevents annotation lines from intersecting by automatically adjusting their positions.

Note: This feature is only available when annotations are placed on the host’s sides (left/right or by element). It is not available when annotations are set to the rebar center, as the tool only detects and places tags at the center in that mode.

Dimension from Rebar - When unchecked (default), annotation lines are positioned based on the host's sides—either left/right or by element, as described above. When checked, the tool calculates the annotation line position directly from the distance between each rebar and the tag, independent of host-based placement. This only applies if you choose the left or right annotation position.

Preferred Tag Position

This section defines the tag’s position relative to the base dimension line.

Horizontal Position (for horizontal elements) - Specifies the tag position as Left, Right, or Center along the dimension line.

Vertical Position (for horizontal elements) - Defines whether the tag appears Above, Below, or Centered on the dimension line.

Tag Horizontal/Vertical Multipliers - Parameters that allow further adjustment of tag position using scaling factors to offset the tag horizontally or vertically along the dimension line.
