Access to the path 'TOOLS 4 BIM’ is denied

Problem

'System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path ‘C\:ProgramData\AGA-CAD\TOOLS 4 BIM’ is denied' error is visible

Solution

Make sure that your user has all read/write permissions to the folder C:\ProgramData\AGA-CAD\TOOLS 4 BIM:

1. Open Properties of the folder:

2. Select 'Security tab' > Edit your User/User group, and make sure that 'Full Control' is ticked

3. Restart Revit. The error should disappear
