# Dynamic Legend
**Legends tool (previously known as Dynamic Legend)** allows you to **quickly create, modify and update Legends (also specification tables or other data sets**) for all Revit category elements.
This approach can be preferred over using Revit Schedules because tables can be generated in **any needed style** and can **contain images, Legends Components**, and even **dimensions**.
