[Configurations](/3d-modeling-and-design/cut-opening/opening-configurations/door-window-openings-configurations.md) are available for the Door/Window opening insertion.

To start the process:

1. **Click on the "Insert Door/Window Openings" command**.
2. **Select the elements in the table** for which openings should be created. Filtering is available via the selection tree on the left side of the window or by filtering the table via filtering options. To select the whole table at once, click on the empty cell at the top left corner of the table.
3. **Click on the "Insert/Update" button**. It will trigger the family selection for the insertion.
4. **Select the element to be inserted as an opening**. Cut Opening provides two opening families to be inserted: "Window Square Opening" and "Door Square Opening". Selecting one will determine which opening category will be inserted with the current insertion process. Alternatively, users can choose their personal door or window elements to be inserted as the openings.
5. **Click "OK" to insert the openings.**
