Wood Framing Truss+ RT makes wooden truss design fast and easy with real-time full project updates in Revit®. Plus it generates views with automatic dimensions and tagging for all truss elements. Build a model using Revit Roof functionality
Create roof types with layers → define roof thickness
Truss+ → Configs → Load Roof Truss Families / Load Floor Truss Families
Truss+ → Configs → Truss Database Manager → Modify and create new truss types
Truss+ → Configs → Roof Truss System Configuration → Modify and create truss systems
Truss+ → Configs → Roof Truss Design Settings → Modify truss type parameters
7.opt.1 Truss+ → Truss Systems → Insert Truss System Grid by one Roof Line →
→ Select the roof → Select one roof model line → Choose truss type
7.opt.2 Truss+ → Truss Systems → Insert Truss System Grid by Roof Lines →
→ Select the roof → Define roof lines by selecting model lines → Choose truss type
8. Select a Grid → Truss+ → Truss Systems → Insert Valley Set Grid
9.opt.1 Select a Grid → Truss+ → Truss Systems → Generate Trusses → Choose truss types
9.opt.2 Truss+ → Trusses → Insert Roof/Floor Truss by Selected Model Line → Select a model line drawn previously
Truss+ → Shop Drawings → Sort, Schedule, Tag and Dimension your trusses
Truss+ → Shop Drawings → Create Shop Drawings by creating an assembly
Truss+ → Shop Drawings → Export to CNC
Follow these simple steps to model a roof prior to using Truss+. The rules bellow will help you to establish correct connection of roof bottom face and wall top face.
Use Roof by Footprint at the right level i.e. Wall Top Constraint Level
Draw roof boundary lines by Pick Walls
Go to roof element properties and select Truss in the ʻRa er or Trussʼ parameter
Overhang must be extended to wall core
Roof Base O set From Level must be equal to Heel Height minus Top Chord Depth/cos (Pitch) for raised heel trusses if top chord is attached to roof top face.
Roof Base O set From Level must be equal to Heel Height for raised heel trussesif top chord is attached to roof bottom face.
