# Fatal Error Occurred

## Problem

A 'fatal error' message visible, similar to:

![](/files/m97zBv2Pv5EfMUbqpmLP)

## **Solution**

1. Disable other Revit® add-ins and re-start Revit®. \
 If this fixes the issue - try and re-enable each of the add-ins one by one. \
 Once the issue re-occurs, [forward us](https://agacad.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new) the name of the software that caused the crash.\
 We will test compatibility and make adjustments if needed.
2. If you suspect that ARKANCE software is causing Revit® to crash, please [forward us](https://agacad.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new) your ARKANCE Dock and Revit log files for investigation. Log files can be found here:
 * Dock: C:\Users\\%username%\AppData\Roaming\TOOLS 4 BIM\\\*Revit version\*\\**LogT4BDock.txt**
 * Revit: C:\Users\\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit \*Revit version\*\\**Journal.xxxx.txt**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.besmart.software/getting-started/troubleshooting/fatal-error-occurred.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
