Flip by X Axis, Flip by Y axis - allows you to flip family during insertion. To make it work, you have to have control arrows inside the element's Family.
Flip by Workplane - flips workplane.
Flip if Host is Flipped - flips your detail according to the flip direction of your Host element. For example, the profile on the right has been flipped, so if you insert details with Flip if Host is Flipped unchecked, then you'll get this result:
But if you want to correct it, tick ON Flip if Host is Flipped and get this result:
Calculate Total Span - When we assign families to multiple hosts, the software will calculate their total host face length as a single combined value, rather than individually.
Cal. by Location Line - When enabled, it will evaluate the host's location line instead of the geometry, which is the default setting when turned off. This is useful if the host's geometry has been modified by cuts and you want the software to evaluate the placement point based on the location line rather than the geometry.
Avoid duplicates - When families are placed using certain search rules, duplicates may occur because the software detects multiple connections at a single point, leading to multiple families being added at the same location. Enabling this option will evaluate the intersection of identical families and ensure that only one family is placed.
