Select Elements – features for quickly selecting elements by different rules.

Select Parts by Layer

Select Parts by Layer – selects main parts in the framed roof.

Please make sure Show Parts or Show Both is selected in View Properties → Parts Visibility:

Example: Click Select Parts by Layer and you will be able to select only main parts from the framed roof:

Select Elements by Member Type in Frame

Select Element by Member Type in Frame – selects all framing members of the same type from the frame.

Example: Select any joist → Select Element by Member Type in Frame → All joists from the frame will be selected:

Select Elements by Member Type in all Frames

Select Element by Member Type in all Frames – selects all framing members of the same type from all frames in the project.

Example: Select any joist → Select Element by Member Type in all Frames → All joists from all frames in the project will be selected:

Select Elements by Member Type in all Frames by Level

Select Element by Member Type in all Frames by Level – selects all framing members of the same type from all frames in the same level.

Example: Select any joist → Select Element by Member Type in all Frames by Level → All joists from all frames in the same level will be selected:

Select all Frame Elements

Select all Frame Elements – selects all framing members from the roof.

Example: Select any joist → Select all Frame Elements → All elements, including joists, plates, trimmers, etc. will be selected:

Select Frame Modules

Select Frame Modules – selects preassembled elements.

Example: Select any joist → Select Frame Modules → All elements set as preassembled are selected, like opening kings, trimmers, cripples, etc.:
