# Can I update frame assembly after modifying Framing Configurations?

**No**, it is not recommended to use **Update Frame Assembly** after making a fundamental change to the frame (i.e. modifying Framing Configuration or changing a linked Framing Configuration in Link Wall dialogue).

After modifying the Framing Configurations, follow the workflow below:

1. Go to **Create Assembly** > **Disassemble Assembly** and pick the assembly
2. Click on **Frame Wall** and select the wall
3. In the pop-up, click **Delete and Re-frame** (if you're re-framing multiple frames, check the box)
4. **Number Elements**
5. **Create Assembly**
