# How to automate sheet creation?

After creating the **first** **assembly sheet** by dragging and dropping items, you can reuse the layout of this sheet as a **template** and automate other assembly sheets.

1. Click **Create Assembly** and pick a framing element from a chosen frame.
2. Go to the new assembly in the project browser. Drag and drop the views onto the sheet:

{% hint style="info" %}
All assembly views, schedules and sheets will be located under the **Assemblies** in the project browser.
{% endhint %}

3. Go to **Drawing Configuration**, switch to the **Sheets** tab.
4. Under the **Sheet Template** column, choose the sheet from your most recent assembly. Save and close the configuration.
5. Pick a new frame or multiple frames and click **Create Assembly**. Views and schedules in all sheets will be placed automatically according to the very first layout:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.besmart.software/3d-modeling-and-design/metal-framing/faq/shop-drawings/how-to-automate-sheet-creation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
