# How to change family types in Framing Configurations?

## Arkitech/Howick/Pinnacle frames

The default Framing Configurations for Arkitech/Howick/Pinnacle frames include these profile sizes:

* Metric: **M\_C+C\_CH Chamfered Profiles X5** and **M\_C+C\_CH Chamfered Profiles 3200 configurations:** 89mm studs and plates
* Imperial: **I\_C+C\_CH Chamfered Profiles**: 3 1/2" studs and plates

You can change the profile sizes for each frame element:

1. Go to Common Settings
2. Untick the boxes **Use for all Vertical/Horizontal Elements** **(except Opening**)

3. Go through the settings on the **left**:
4. Apply the family types in the **Custom Layout** settings:

Use **C+C\_CH Stud** family types for **vertical** elements (Vertical Stud, Connections (L, End, V), Ridge Stud, King Stud, Trimmer, Cripples)

Use **C+C\_CH Plate** family types for **horizontal** elements (Top/Bottom Plate, Blocking/Nogging, Header, Sill)
