Be.Smart CNC Metal Exporter allows for direct export of light-gauge steel frames modeled in Autodesk® Revit® to CNC machines manufactured by Arkitech, Howick, Knudson, Metroll, Pinnacle, Royal C.N.C. and Scottsdale.
The software can be adapted for any other CNC machine if needed. Be.Smart offers support for clients who need to export to CNC files to ensure the final product performs seamlessly and accurately.
Be.Smart CNC Metal Exporter must be used in tandem with Be.Smart Metal Framing BIM software.
Metal Framing creates LGS framing elements with all the necessary geometry and data inside the Revit project.
Be.Smart CNC Metal Exporter offers a list of sample configurations for different CNC machines. Users can duplicate these configurations, rename them and modify commands or other parameters. Learn more here.
Since 2012 Arkitech has invested in high-quality machinery and high-end equipment and setting up a team of highly skilled engineers and technicians to offer a complete Light Gauge Steel (LGS) manufacturing solution.
Our CNC Metal Exporter has a configuration that exports CSV format files suitable for Arkitech CNC machines to produce wall, floor and roof frames as well as trusses.
Howick manufactures precision roll-forming machines and technology for light steel framing. For over 40 years they’ve designed machines that can now be found in use by construction firms in 75 countries around the world.
Our CNC Metal Exporter provides three sample configurations for Howick machines:
Howick 4200 for CSV 1.0 format
Howick CNC Configuration for CSV 1.0 format
Howick CNC Configuration CSV2 for CSV 2.0 version format
Howick configurations generate CSV extension files readable by Howick machines for wall, floor, and roof frames as well as trusses.
The difference between the Howick 4200 and Howick CNC Configuration is in the coding. For example, Howick CNC configuration uses the DIMPLE command, whereas Howick 4200 uses the FLANGE1 command.
Meanwhile, the Howick CNC Configuration CSV2 format utilizes a different coding format that writes the coordinates of beam corners.
Knudson has a reputation as one of the United States’ most prominent roll forming machinery builders. For over 60 years, their roll former machines and solutions have fueled the success of prefab manufacturers, contractor/manufacturers, subcontractors and component suppliers.
Our CNC Metal Exporter offers a configuration that generates TXT format files. The configuration is suitable specifically for the Knudson KFS-T1420 CNC machine.
Metroll is a leading manufacturer and supplier in Australia of steel building products, including roofing, cladding, rainwater, structural, and fencing.
Our CNC Metal Exporter provides two configurations for Metroll:
Metroll CNC Configuration C+C
Metroll CNC Configuration
Both configurations use different coding depending on the machine and generate separate TXT extension files for studs and plates (tracks). This application can export wall, floor, roof frames, and trusses.
Below is a comparison between two Metroll configurations when exporting stud profiles:
Pinnacle is the leading global total solution provider of steel framing technology. Company researches and develops world’s most advanced robotic machines for steel framing industry. Pinnacle covers 5 continents and over 50 countries and regions around the world.
Our CNC Metal Exporter generates Part.List format files suitable for Pinnacle CNC machines:
Recognized as a leading manufacturing of extrusion tooling in North America, Royal C.N.C offers a wide variety of tooling packages, including Design, Pre-Tuning, and Post Extrusion Tooling:
Our CNC Metal Exporter provides one sample configuration of export for Royal CNC machines - Royal AMS XL206. This configuration generates TXT extension files readable by automated Royal machines.
The result with studs and plates can be checked in any text reader:
Scottsdale Construction Systems is a New Zealand-based company that focuses on research and development and develops innovative technology for the house building and construction industries. Since 1995 it has provided world class solutions for prefabricating steel frames and trusses for residential and commercial construction.
Our CNC Metal Exporter provides a ScotSim configuration that exports TXT extension files suitable for Scottsdale CNC machines.
Below is an example of a floor framed with our Be.Smart Metal Framing in Revit. The model exported with our CNC Metal Exporter can be checked in the Scottsdale viewer:
The result can also be loaded into Scottsdale’s machine simulator that makes a virtual frame and informs the user of any issues:
