One assembly/separate assemblies for identical frames

If you have two or more identical frames that share identical geometry and framing layout, see the instructions below.

Avoid separate assemblies for identical frames

Step 1

1. Go to Framing Configurations > Modify Settings.

2. Check the box Create Same Assembly for Same Geometry (this feature is on by default):

Step 2

1. Frame Walls/Floors/Roofs

2. Number Walls/Floor/Roofs

3. Number Elements

4. Select frames and click Create Assembly:

Walls/Floors/Roofs still keep their unique numbering values in the Mark instance parameter.

For example, W-46 Assembly represents walls W-46, W-47, etc and their numbering values don't change.

Create separate assemblies for identical frames

Step 1

1. Go to Framing Configurations > Modify Settings.

2. Uncheck the box Create Same Assembly for Same Geometry:

1. Frame Walls/Floors/Roofs (or Delete Frames and Re-Frame if you've already framed them)

2. Number Walls/Floor/Roofs

3. Number Elements

4. Select frames and click Create Assembly.
