# Siding Trimming

Here are the options to control how the siding elements are going to be trimmed:

## Table

***

* ***Operation*** – provides a number for reference to use with the preview image.

***

* ***Trimming*** – provides a description of the processing area.

***

* ***Perform*** – turns off operation for the specified area.

***

* ***Control Code*** – machine-specific code to control and customize various aspects of how the processing is supposed to be performed.

***

* ***Command Code*** – lets you choose what processing command code is supposed to be used:
 * ***PSG (default)*** – sawing process.
 * ***PAF*** – countersinking process.

***

* ***Cut Direction*** – lets you choose the direction the saw travels on specific cuts.

 Note: Only available for horizontal siding elements and left/right sides of the opening

***

* ***Tilt Angle*** – lets you choose the tilt of the saw, resulting in angled cuts. 0° results in a square cut.

***

* ***Blocked Area*** -

***

* ***Cut Start Offset*** – this lets you apply offsets to the start of cut lines to avoid overcutting or undercutting. Use negative values to shorten cut lines, and positive for lengthening.

***

* ***Cut End Offset*** – this lets you apply offsets to the end of cut lines to avoid overcut or undercut. Use negative values to shorten cut lines, and positive for lengthening.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.besmart.software/design-data-management-and-exchange/cnc-exporters/cnc-wood-exporters/weinmann-wup/user-interface/advanced-setup-window/siding-trimming.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
