# Shop Drawing Workflow

## 1. Numbering

After framing walls, you must **Number Walls** and **Number Elements**. [Learn more](https://docs.besmart.software/3d-modeling-and-design/metal-framing/getting-started/workflow-step-by-step/walls#id-8.-numbering)

**Note**: you must number walls before creating shop drawings.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
The order of numbering does not matter. However, it's recommended to number walls first. [Learn more](https://docs.besmart.software/3d-modeling-and-design/metal-framing/getting-started/workflow-step-by-step/walls#id-8.-numbering)

## 2. Load Tags and Schedule Templates

Metal Framing comes with:

* Sample **Structural Framing** **Tag** family used in **Tagging Configurations:**
* **Schedule** templates that can be used in the **Drawing Configuration**

Follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Load Families**
2. Uncheck **Main Families**
3. Check the **Sample Schedules** and **Sample Tags** boxes
4. Click **OK**

<figure><img src="https://239424168-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FqtUsszuAWXIZhQhrvjnb%2Fuploads%2FYiY6yjA6KMIIuSeKqkau%2FLoad%20Families.gif?alt=media&#x26;token=e38a398f-fa37-4a58-a9fd-a1930a3bb526" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Sample schedules will appear in the **Schedules** section of the **Project Browser**

<figure><img src="https://239424168-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FqtUsszuAWXIZhQhrvjnb%2Fuploads%2FQ8WJj3gSobADqe3F9iAL%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=15dd4be4-9e17-4196-84dc-a8ed5ed88479" alt="" width="331"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: loaded sample schedules will be used as schedule and material takeoff templates in Drawing Configuration.
{% endhint %}

Sample tags will appear in **Project Browser** > **Families** > **Annotation Categories**:

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: loaded tags will be used in Smart Tags (Tagging Configurations) to automate tags in assembly views.
{% endhint %}

## 3. Modify Drawing Configuration

1. Open **Drawing Configuration**:
